The wait is over, and the hardworking folks at KOFFIA have released their festival lineup for this year. Twenty new feature films, three modern classics and a bunch of short films in three cities this time: Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
There’s a great rundown of what’s on offer on their site — of particular interest is the Aussie premiere of Korea’s box office winner for 2011, War of the Arrows, which opens the festival, and the pile of other commercial and critical successes rounding out the Panorama section.
They’re also showing three modern classics on the big screen: Park Chan-wook’s Oldboy, Hur Jin-ho’s Christmas in August and Kim Ki-duk’s Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter… and Spring.
Go check out the full list, and mark the festival down on your calendar — it’s going to be a lot of fun!
