Our stats since the Sydney Film Festival suggest that a few people have hit the site looking for release info on Indian epic Gangs of Wasseypur in Australia. I’ve done some digging myself, and it doesn’t look like there’s a real Aussie release confirmed, but I thought I’d share this litte update: the Melbourne International Film Festival’s direct from Cannes update states that they’ve programmed both Part 1 and Part 2 of Wasseypur for their festival in August.
So, if you’re in Melbourne, you’ll have a chance to catch it then!
There are some other films from around Asia that have been announced as well — we’ll post a full roundup when we have the whole program, but here’s a quick list:

Ace Attorney (Japan, 2012, dir. Takashi Miike)
For Love’s Sake (Japan, 2012, dir. Takashi Miike) — twice the Miike this year!
